Kalyan Kumar Chakravarty appointed as new chairman of Lalit Kala Akademi

Kalyan Kumar Chakravarty , a 1970 batch retired IAS officer
has been appointed as the new chairman of Lalit Kala Akademi. The
appointment was cleared by the President Pranab Mukherjee. Chakravarty had been the member-secretary of Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, director general of the National Museum, New Delhi and vice chancellor of the National Museum Institute.
