India largest recipient of global remittances: World Bank

The world bank held that India remains the largest recipient of global remittances in the world, receiving USD 69 billion in 2012.
Top recipients of global remittances in the world:

• India (USD 69 billion)
• China (USD60 billion)
• The Philippines (USD24 billion)
• Mexico (USD23 billion)
• Nigeria and Egypt (USD21 billion each).

Other large recipients include Pakistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Lebanon.
