Justice P Sadasivam new Chief Justice of Supreme Court

President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday issued orders appointing Justice P Sadasivam as Chief Justice of Supreme Court.
The
present incumbent Althamus Kabir was about to superannuate on July 18,
2013. Justice Sadasivam has been elevated as Supreme Court Judge on
August 21, 2007. 64-year-old Sadasivam served as Judge in Madras High
Court and Punjab High Court. He was the 40th Chief Justice of the apex
court and he will continue in the post till April 26, 2014.
