Tianhe-2: World’s fastest Supercomputer developed by China

achieved a big breakthrough in the field of supercomputers as it
successfully developed fastest supercomputer in the world, named,
Tianhe-2.

About Tianhe-2:
- Supercomputer developed by China’s National University of Defense Technology
- Processing speeds of 33.86 petaflops (1000 trillion calculations) per second.
- It is far ahead of the current fastest U.S.-designed Titan which has a speed of 17.59 petaflops per second
- Likely to boost China’s capabilities in both scientific and defence fields.
